Stayed at The Beverly Hotel for a week in early March 24. Booked the Carmel Suite at a very reasonable price. The service was outstanding from the time we arrived until we left. The Concierge staff were always welcoming with Messrs Bhaskar and Rajesh at the helm. At Reception Ms Jennifer Grant and her team were very helpful in making every aspect of our stay so comfortable. Jennifer is an asset to the Hotel, especially with foreign guests, who may not know the local language . The Housekeeping Staff is led by the very efficient Mrs Jayanti and is assisted by Mrs Vimala. The room staff on the sixth floor did a magnificent job in keeping our suite spotless! The breakfast buffet at The Pacifica Restaurant had a great variety of Indian breakfast dishes as well as an omelette station with sausages and fresh juices which were also on offer daily. We had drinks and cocktails at the bar on two occasions, great service and plenty of free short eats. Mr Bharat from Room Service brought up our daily morning coffee orders promptly. Kudos to the General Manager for his extremely hard working and efficient team!! I highly recommend and certainly will be staying at The Beverly Hotel on my next visit to Chennai! I stayed at the Beverly Hotel in Chennai for a couple of weeks in Dec 23 - Jan 24. It is an affordable family friendly hotel w/easy access to the airport (about an hour) and points of interest in the city. The hotel is neat and well managed with an amazing group of staff who treat you like family. The breakfast buffet includes a variety of healthy choices including authentic South Indian dishes, and the a-la carte menu for lunch and dinner has options for all tastes. The hotel has outdoor dining on the terrace (Hollywood Heights) and well appointed conference and meeting spaces. The suite I stayed in was very comfortable with a separate living area and bedroom with an attached bathroom/shower, and a wardrobe area with space for your luggage. The in-house laundry service was excellent and delivered on time. The staff at Beverly pride themselves on their service and it shone brightly throughout my stay! Several members of the house-keeping staff have overcome physical challenges (speech/hearing impairments) to make a living and kudos to the hotel management for providing the support and training to these wonderful people. Inspired and humbled by your commitment to serve! Thank you to all the service staff including Ms. Gayatri, Ms. Sandhiya, Ms. Sivitha, Ms. Bharathi, Mr. Karthick, Mr. Sivakumar, Mr. Murali, Mr. Magesh, Mr. Henry, Mr. Dinesh, Kalai, Mr. Pandurangan. I went in September to take care of father’s health. The management staff was very courteous and arranged vehicle for pick up from airport at 2am and later to transport locally in Chennai. The staff were humble and cheerful , treated me with respect. The room and bathroom were very clean. The restaurant was clean, served breakfast buffet which had variety of south Indian dishes, and some continental breakfast. The staff accommodated me at the buffet even at closing hours without any questions. The Internet was spotty in the room but I had good cellular service and did not bother me. The Hotel location is walkable distance to the Chennai metro rail. Staff assisted me in directions and I hopped on Metro to check out Chennai myself. Overall, very comfortable and safe place to stay. Great central Chennai location for some one like me visiting from the USA. I will definitely stay again. Jith Atlanta

I have never faced hospitality so hostile. My stay at the hotel was mental and financial harassment. I was staying solo in a new city, where i had never traveled before and did not know the language. From taking advance payments, to calling 10pm in the night to abuse me about more money issues, i have faced the worst humanitarian behaviour at this hotel. I felt humiliated and unsafe at the hotel premises due to the staff. I was discriminated against for being a North Indian. It was a dire situation for me to continue my stay here, and they feeded off my urgent need. During my stay they told me they have reserved the room for someone else, if i pay 2 days advance i will be allowed to stay. I request the authorities to look at the matter and the hotel should be de-listed from all the booking portals and the ministry of tourism should reprimand then strictly.
